Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great and productive week. This week, I stumbled upon a service called “RebelMouse”, and don’t ask me if it is new or not, as I really don’t know 🙂 Anyway, Rebelmouse is really a very interesting platform, and one that I am not yet sure what to make of it. It could be a “social blogging platform”, some sort of “curation site”, or simply a place where you can organize your online presence into one neat looking site. It literally “integrates all your social networks in one place”. And you can add any feed, your social accounts, post directly, the whole shebang. Here’s an example of “one of the pages” I already started to test it. I’m just scratching the surface!
Mind you, I am talking about this one platform because I simply like the concept and just by scratching the surface, I can already tell that there is a lot you can do with it. May look similar to other services out there, but I really don’t think so. Just check it out and let me know what you think about it, and what “clever” ways you can do with it. Have you heard about this platform before?
Here’s Founder and CEO of RebelMouse, Paul Berry, with an interview on Bloomberg.
Earlier this week, YouTube has launched their pilot program for a small group of partners that will now be able to offer paid subscriptions to their channels. The most obvious reason for this new program is for creators to increase their revenue potential. Not sure where this is heading, but it may just be a matter of time until we are able to subscribe to channels such as sports, movies, etc.. Right now the available channels are not so great, but it will certainly grow in no time. Maybe, you can even create your own paid channel… Say you can really create some awesome videos of “how to type” stuff on just about anything. Instead of having it available for the public, why not make some money out of it? What do you think? Anyway, if you are interested in building your own paid channel, you can do so here.
Last, but not least, one of the articles that I found very interesting this week was that from SEOmoz.org stating that “content isn’t king”, but rather “trust” is. I have to admit that this really caught my attention as the “content is king” thing has and is being used perhaps in the wrong way. Fads like “build them and they will come”, and “content is king”, really needs some change in perspective and I think that this article does just that. Good read!

wow!
Thanks for good Rebel Mouse blog posting. It is very nice.I hope it is helpful for new user.Very soon it’s famous all user.
I’m fully behind the paid youtube channel and would wholeheartedly be willing to pay if it encourages content providers (big and small) to create great content.
The big question is “how much”. I’d like to see some sort of a donation system in place where I could decide how much want to give. For example, I have about 25,000 subscribers on my two YT channels, imagine if they each decide to donate 25 cents for my great content. That’s $6,250!! Not bad for a casual blogger. Of course, bigger brand would need more, but for small guys like us, that would be pretty exciting.
That would be so awesome would it not.. only 25 cents from each of your subscribers and it would be a great sum. Let’s see how this plays out, but like you I am also looking forward to it. Don’t forget to “apply” 🙂

Will there be new analytics embedded with channels. That’s how you can check user behavior
I have been wondering for a while if YouTube would come up with some form of paid channels and content. We’ll have to see how it plays out yet.
I haven’t heard of RebelMouse before, but the site looks interesting. Hopefully it is easy enough to get the hang of. It seems to have a nice clean layout. I’ll definitely take it for a test drive.
You got that one right… Let’s see how YT plays, but interesting enough, I have not seen many people complaining about it (yet). We’ll see.
As for RebelMouse, I agree, it is very interesting and from what I already manage to figure out, you can actually use it as “whole” website. there is a learning curve in there, but once you get the hang of it, I am convinced that there could be some “gems” in there. Let me know how it goes for you.

Hi Ditesco, thanks for this informative article. I heard of late that YouTube is going to roll out paid channels, which will be accessible at $1.99. Whether this model will become popular among users, is yet to be revealed…but it’s beyond doubt that online marketers, who do niche specific video marketing, can cash in on this new policy.
There’s potential in there, definitely. Let’s see how it goes. Thanks for stopping by

People buy from people that they know, like, and trust. They won’t go for you even if you have the most advanced content in the whole WWW but from other hand trust can’t be reached by a low quality content, so it is endless circle…
