20 High PR Article Directories – Update

On one of my older post, I have compiled a list of Free Article Submission Directories. Almost six months later, it is now time to update that list as a recent reader of mine suggested.

Benefits Of Article Submission

As I have mentioned before, article submission directories offer a lot of benefits for your website and branding. Submitting articles is one of the most successful ways to draw traffic, obtain backlinks and increase your exposure with potential visitors and search engines rankings. It is cost effective, as you don’t have to spend money to do this. As a matter of fact, there are Article Directories that you can make money online, because they will pay you to submit an article for them (see Content-Articles on the list). All you need is to write some good unique articles and you are all set.

That said, here is the latest list of High PageRank Article Submission Directories, sorted by PR and Alexa Ranking. Please note that I have also included Knol. Knol as you know belongs to Google and competes with “WikiPedia”. If you are an expert in “something”, Knol is definitely one site to consider.

    • Knol belongs to Google and is a good way to build backlinks and gain traffic. You will have to be an expert of something though:) Good luck

      • you mean that it is not like the regular article directories where we can submit articles on any topic?

  • Yes its not like other directory but it allow you create a Knol where you can ask an advice or any thing else and its good.

    • Hi Sariyanta. Thanks for dropping by. As far as your question is concerned, article marketing is definitely one important step towards driving more traffic to your site. However, that alone is obviously not enough and you will have to first provide quality content in your site, build your network and gain credibility. Work also on your SEO as organic traffic is by far the best traffic one can get specially if you are in business. Do all those and you are on a good path.

  • Hi DiTesco, nice list but most of them use the nofollow tag with links that does not give any help in Google search engine results. i am trying to get 1 PR for my blog but still not got. my blog iPad News is popular in bing and yahoo but not in google. can u suggest some ideas that can help me getting better ranking in Google too. thanks.

    • Hi Jolie. Thanks for dropping by. Submitting to article directories is not suppose to solely be for the purpose of SEO as they too can bring traffic to your site provided your article is compelling enough and provides value. If this happens, people will tend to visit your blog for more. Now as far as PR juice is concerned, you should really not worry to much about PR and whether a site is a dofollow or nofollow. A backlink is a backlink and while today it might not give you juice, it may tomorrow.

      For better results on Google, I suggest you read the SEO Starter Guide and browse around all of my Best SEO Tips. This is really a good start and maybe the only tips you require, at least for now.

  • Your list is great but at present you can provide more better articles directory list. articlesbase.com is a high pr directory but also almost 200 alexa rank.
